– Prabita chaudhary, 34 years is the residence of Gadwa Rural Muncipality -5-Banki. She has 6 members in her family. She has one son, 16 years and one daughter 14 years. Her husband worked as mason and whole family depend on him for daily necessity. Her family has only 2 kattha land. There were several difficulties to meet the daily expenses of the family and education of the children. She used to go for daily wages in brick industries to meet the expenses of the family.

Although she was in land right forum group but she has no idea of leasehold farming and improved Vegetable farming technology. She participates in different training such as women leadership training, vegetable farming training and also attends regularly in Business and right literacy class. She is acquainted with different services and provision in local government, rights and entitlement, planning process of local government etc through BRL classes. After that she found more active and interested in commercial vegetable farming. . She start leasehold farming in 10 kattha from may 2019.Project bear the lease amount and support input (Seed) of tomato, bitter gourd, Cauliflower etc. From leasehold farming she was able to earn about Nrs 135955 (one lakh thirty five thousand nine hundred and fifty five only) in 8 month of period. Project technician provide improved vegetable farming technique to enhance the production of the vegetable. Now she is able to dialogue with local government and other agencies. She got vegetable seeds, mushroom seeds and shallow tubules from Gadwa Rural municipality. She took loan of 9000 from Unko Bachat cooperative ltd to promote leasehold farming. She has Nrs 40000 saving in Unko Bachat cooperative ltd.

Now days she easily manages expenses of children’s and daily family expenses from the income of leasehold vegetable production. Her left the masonry job and now he support her in leasehold farming of Prabita Chaudhary She has planned to extend off-seasonal vegetable farming by taking loan from cooperatives in coming days.
